MEMORANDUM FOR THE MAXIMUS KIM OF THE 30TH SURVEILLANCE EXPEDITION
SUBJECT: PLANET EARTH – KE INTELLIGENCE MISSION DIRECTIVE NO. 215

Background: An Earth spectacle called Baseball; it is an on-going group activity that commenced today all over the North American Hemisphere.
Activities: I followed several thousands earth subjects into a large concrete structure, named, Nationals Park. Approximately, 30,000 gorged themselves on processed meats, plant husks and drank colored liquids (dark and light) while watching colorfully decorated subjects beat and chase a white sphere around an enclosed plot of land.
Operations: The Baseball spectacle appears to be a sport of some kind as they illuminate numbers throughout the structure every time a subject crosses a flat stone at the southern potion of an irregular square. There are two groups of decorated subjects, each group gets nine revolutions to beat the white sphere and move its subjects through three safe zones and across the southern stone. The Philadelphia Phillies baseball group touched the stone numerous times and illuminated the numeral “11” and the Washington Nationals baseball group just “1” today.
Divisions: Baseball in this hemisphere appears to be under the control of a fascist organization called Major League Baseball, MLB. A man called the Commissioner is the ruler of the decorated subjects. Currently an earth subject named Bud Selig, is the Commissioner of this organization. Earth subjects record and catalog events associated with baseball on imagery and data stems. Access to imagery and data can easily be obtained from satellites circling the Planet Earth (see earlier report on the Earth term: Internet).
Responsibilities: Minimal – Despite the large numbers that the decorated subjects attract for Baseball, most appear to be peaceful. However, several earth subjects drank a yellow colored beverage to excess and became loud, ill tempered and had trouble staying erect and maintaining fluids. These subjects were removed from the structure, electro-shocked by a group decorated in all-black and tossed into the back of a slow moving structure that uses the ground to move.
Terms for Indexing: The white sphere is called a Baseball. Subjects beat the sphere with a carved and polished tree branch called a Bat. The safe zones are called Bases and Dugouts. The subjects decorated in black are called The Police. The slow moving structures are called Cars. The Cars use primitive carbon based products to move on the surface.
Special: The Earth subject, Barack Obama that lives in the white structure with enormous communications capabilities, referred to as the President of United States appeared at the start of the Baseball spectacle. He was warmly received despite the lack of a supporting Army at the baseball event.
